Principal’s message​

Drawing from 15 years of humanitarian work experience, my time as a refugee in Yemen refined my vision towards safeguarding refugee and asylum seeker children through education. Since my arrival in Malaysia in 2017, I’ve drawn upon my expertise to step up as a community leader within Wangsa Maju’s burgeoning Somali population. I established Save School for Refugee Communities, not only to uplift my own community but also to welcome displaced children of all backgrounds.

The school’s name encapsulates its purpose: to save the lives of displaced children by investing in their human capital and empowering them with skills and knowledge. The school services provide students with a platform to meet basic requirements to pursue further education or occupational skills.
